I'm a director looking for a director of photography to help shoot my short film "Inhaler" about a teenager trying to convince his friend not to commit suicide. The goal would be to shoot by first week of November. Our impulsive, yet directionless society deprives our children of the time and permission to exist, to feel, and to love. Some of them see how pointless the system they're being herded through is, how numbing it is, and unfortunately, it's only natural that they seek an escape. I want to make a film that is honest about that sad truth, but that also says that whether you know them or not, there are people who care about you - even if you don't care about yourself - and that friendship with them makes life worth living. Simple setup: two actors, one location. This is a great opportunity to add a powerful character drama centered around friendship to your reel. Ideally, I'd like for us to form a collaboration that would last beyond this project. Unfortunately I can't pay you, but I can cover meals and Ubers if necessary. Go over this when we talk.
