The Mark II Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens delivers sharp, high resolution images and continues to get high praise from reviewers even today…which is probably why it sells new for $3,000 (plus taxes). It has pro-grade build and some key features include up to 4 stops of image stabilization (with 3 modes), 1 fluorite and 1 Super UD lens element, Air Sphere Coating to reduce flare, fluorine coatings on the front and rear elements, 9-blade aperture, and quite high maximum 0.31x maximum magnification with close focusing of 3.2 feet. Filter size is 77mm. Lens was purchased used from Kerrisdale Cameras in September 2024 (it was priced at $900 + taxes) and is in great condition, as shown in the photos (the lens hood has some scuffs). Includes the original bits: removable tripod mount, lens hood, caps, a proper zip-up lens case and the box. I am in North Vancouver (Lower Lonsdale) but work downtown near the Art Gallery and could meet near there on weekdays (daytime) if that is more convenient.
