Your best five minutes got 40 laughs and two drink tickets. We'll pay real money for the same skill: making a stranger stop scrolling in the first 3 seconds, then making them buy. WHO WE ARE Small online brand. Our main product right now is a dog water fountain. We run ads on Facebook and Instagram every day. Marketers write them, and you can tell. We want a comedian. WHAT YOU'LL WRITE - Hooks: the first line / first 3 seconds of a video ad (batches of 20) - 30-60 second scripts for someone talking into a phone camera - Short headlines for image ads You don't film or act. You write it, we make it. WHY A COMEDIAN A joke and an ad run on the same machine: setup, tension, surprise, payoff. You already know how to cut a line that isn't landing and how to write in someone else's voice. Most copywriters have never bombed in front of a room. You have. One warning: funny gets their attention. The job is the sale. If people laugh and nobody buys, the ad failed. WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO Usually a woman, 45-65, and her dog is basically her kid. Write with her, not at her. If your act roasts suburban moms, this isn't your gig. THE DEAL - Paid test: $75 for 20 hooks + 1 script. You keep it whether we keep working together or not. - After that: $100 per script, $75 per batch of 20 hooks - Winner bonus: $250 each time one of your ads becomes a long-running winner - 100% remote and on your own schedule. Paid weekly (PayPal / Wise / Zelle) - 5-10 hrs/week to start. More if your stuff sells. NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED) - Stand-up, improv, sketch, or posts that took off online - Any job where you had to sell (bartending, retail, car lot, door-to-door) - Ad or copy experience. None is fine. HOW TO APPLY Subject line must be: "My dog drinks out of the toilet" (Anything without it gets deleted. Keeps the bots out.) Include: 1. Links to 1-3 things you wrote that got laughs (set clip, sketch, posts, anything) 2. ONE joke about a dog's water bowl. Just one. Make it count. 3. Your city + hours per week you can give No resume. We hire off the joke.
