I'm an MFA student in NYC making my thesis short film about memory. I'm looking to speak with people who have experienced one of the following: - A memory you questioned - A memory you discovered was inaccurate - A memory that felt like your experience, but you learned was someone else's Because these experiences can cause feelings of isolation, I designed this process to create a space centered on listening and care that validates those lived contradictions. If this resonates with you, I would love to hear from you. Please send a brief voice note, video, or written response (up to 3 minutes or one page) addressing one of the questions above to: filmvisualevidence@gmail.com by May 30th. This is a research process for the creation of characters, not a casting call. The interviews will be audio only, and your voice will not be used in the film. You can choose to be credited on the film as a participant or remain anonymous. The initial idea for this film emerged from a personal experience in which a memory I trusted proved untrue, leaving me with a sense of restlessness and confusion. Developing this film through an interview-based process reflects my interest in exploring this theme collectively, rather than solely through my own experience. Thank you!
