Location: Santa Monica and surrounding areas Compensation: $20-30/hr. Position: Long-term, part-time employee Approximately 10-35 hours per week, depending on availability and scheduling Our award-winning baby and toddler program is looking for a creative, enthusiastic Music & Art Teacher to lead fun, engaging classes for children ages 0–5 and their families. Do you love performing, creating, and working with little ones? Are you comfortable leading music activities and getting a little messy with art? We'd love to meet you! Responsibilities *Lead engaging music and art classes for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers using provided curriculum and lesson plans. *Perform songs and lead movement activities, and dances using acoustic guitar or ukulele. *Prepare and facilitate hands-on, sensory-based art and craft activities that encourage creativity, exploration, and fine motor development. *Create a fun, welcoming, and safe classroom environment while building positive relationships with children and families. *Manage classroom activities, communicate with parents, and confidently guide families through the class experience. *Set up, break down, sanitize, and maintain classroom spaces, instruments, art materials, and supplies. *Communicate with management about class needs, supplies, and any issues that arise, and participate in teacher meetings and training. The Ideal Candidate *Has a big, outgoing personality and loves engaging with both children and adults. *Is a confident performer with a good singing voice and proficient acoustic guitar or ukulele skills. *Has a passion for art, creativity, and hands-on sensory activities, with a basic understanding of art materials and techniques. *Enjoys working with young children and has experience with babies, toddlers, or preschool-aged children. *Is organized, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced class environment. *Is comfortable leading groups, setting expectations with families, and working independently. *Is enthusiastic about a long-term, part-time position with opportunities for growth. Requirements *Proficiently plays acoustic guitar or ukulele and has a good singing voice. *Has experience working with young children and a genuine interest in early childhood development. *Is available at least one weekend day, plus a minimum of two weekday mornings or afternoons. *Has reliable transportation and insurance (public transit or Uber will not work for this position) *Is willing to undergo a criminal background check.
