Seeking singers for a recording project. The focus is on backing vocals, but lead parts will become available as the project continues. Recording will most likely take place in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The first session's pay is set at $100 OR $50 per recording hour. The genre is sort of like future-soul disco stuff. If you want references for the type of backing vocals I'm into: Isley Brothers, Erykah Badu, S.O.S. Band, 90s hip-hop RnB like Soul for Real (Candy Rain), etc. If you fw any of that, you may like this gig. Applicants must be personable and sociable, and be able to take and employ constructive critique. You gotta be able to get along w new people and not act shitty. This is a paid opportunity, but let's be real, it's not that much money. You're only emailing me of you like doing this. Knowledge of harmony and ability to improvise are required. It's my intention to eventually perform this music live; naturally, those who join this recording project will be first choice for a live band. So it's probably best if you live in New York City. If you're in BK/Queens that's a plus. Female singers will be prioritized, but boys are welcome to apply too. If you play an instrument, that also puts you ahead.
