A 15-minute short film shot on 33mm is seeking a 60+ POC Woman to portray the role of DIANE. Minimal acting experience needed. Logline: Baby, a queer, genderqueer person who–at the height of their monotonous NYC isolation and out of body dysphoria–discovers that their elderly neighbor has been dead inside her apartment for weeks. This discovery incites in Baby a dark, eerie, lonely death spiral and parasocial relationship between the two that forces us to look at life through the lens of death. ***The character of Diane is a non-speaking role, but appears in Baby's flashbacks and anxious spiral of the various possible ways Diane might have passed. This actress must be comfortable portraying deceased. The film will shoot February 21-23, Diane may not be needed all 3 days. $257/day, possibility of overtime if the actress is needed >8 hours a day. Transportation to and from the shoot location in Ridgewood, Queens provided. This is a cool opportunity for a creative woman to work alongside a professional and award-winning film crew. The film is projected to have a successful run in the 2027 short film festival circuit.
