Film Tested, Imagery Attached I have two very nice Minolta SRT 35mm film cameras available. These are classic, fully mechanical manual-focus SLRs and would make excellent cameras for a photography student, someone taking a film class, or anyone who wants to learn photography on a straightforward traditional camera. $95 each — your choice of either setup. Both are cameras I have personally shot with and successfully run film through. These are not cameras that were simply dry-fired a few times and declared "working." Option 1 — Minolta SRT 200 + Minolta 50mm f/1.7 Very clean SRT 200 with the excellent Minolta MC Rokkor-X PF 50mm f/1.7 lens. The camera operates properly in use. Film advance and rewind are smooth, the shutter operates properly, and shutter speeds appear to be within normal working specification. The body has a few minor bright marks from normal use and one small dimple, which is cosmetic. The 50mm f/1.7 is a classic Minolta lens — compact, sharp, fast enough for lower-light work, and a very good lens for learning photography. Option 2 — Minolta SRT 100 + Vivitar/Cosina 28–70mm Zoom Very clean SRT 100 paired with a Vivitar/Cosina 28–70mm f/3.5–4.8 zoom. I cleaned, lubricated and adjusted this camera myself and replaced the mirror and mirror-box foam. I am an experienced with the mechanics of SRT as well as being a long time shooter of them, although I am not representing this as a professional CLA. This setup may be particularly useful for a student because the zoom covers everything from a genuinely useful 28mm wide angle through normal and short telephoto without needing additional lenses. The camera has also been personally film tested and successfully used. About the Meters The meters in both cameras work and seem reasonably accurate in my use. My approach with any vintage camera is practical: compare the camera meter with a handheld meter, a phone metering ap or another camera you trust. If there is a small consistent difference, simply use the camera's ASA/ISO setting to compensate. Both cameras include an adapter and fresh battery allowing them to use a readily available LR44 battery rather than the original obsolete mercury cell. These are approximately 50-year-old cameras, so I am not representing their meters as laboratory calibrated. They are, however, cameras I have actually used successfully. $125 each — choose either the SRT 200 with the Minolta 50mm f/1.7 or the SRT 100 with the 28–70mm zoom. Attached imagery: First two are from the Vivitar Zoom, the third is from the Rokkor. All are Kentmere 400 souped in FA1027 1+14 Want to swap the lenses, or substitute a funkier vintage standard prime? Cool cinematic zoom? Wider street glass? Just ask. Available for local pickup in Murray Hill. Cash only please Sorry. The Autocord, the M2 and the Summaron are not for sale. Thx
